Nancy Siever is a MA, LPC, RPT. What do all those abbreviations mean? MA refers to a Master’s Degree, LPC means I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and RPT means I am a Registered Play Therapist. I am also certified in EMDR.  I graduated with High Distinction from Colorado State University with a degree in Human Development & Family Studies.

Thank you for visiting today. Perhaps you already know what you are looking for help with, or maybe you just sense that despite how hard you are trying and working to build closeness in relationships, well, something is just not right.

Job 24:12 tells us “And the soul of the wounded calls for help, and God does not regard it as foolishness.”

Have you found yourself exasperated with having to remind your child to do everything, three or four or more times? Do you find you are in a battle for who is in control? Saddened by the words that you have spoken and the words hurled back and forth all the while striving for peace?

Is your child hurt and often not included by peers? Or is your teenager silent and sullen, rejecting your efforts to be understanding and communicate?

Are you and your spouse or ex-spouse in a struggle as to how to parent your children?

If depression, anger, or anxiety has been robbing you of the hopes and dreams you have and it has been too long since you have felt genuinely content, happy, and satisfied; then it is time to learn what and how the behaviors you have been living with can change.

I can help. Bringing ten years of work with hospice families into my seven year psychotherapy practice, I understand the many faces loss and grief can bring to bear on our lives.

One of the first things that can set the tone for a family is the understanding of how each member wants to be respected. It is a powerful tool to discover this basic need of each member of your family, from the youngest to the oldest.
